Hi folks,
Reckon I should make an account as i've been browsing for the past few months. I have a 2022 ABS model that I bought back in May. This bike is my introduction to motorcycles in general as I hail from the 4x4 world. I wanted something that could be fun on the street and be a compliment to my car for daily use. Definitely liking the gas mileage and nimbleness- seriously has been a good investment. Took my MSF course a week after buying it and have been enjoying myself ever since.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to get exactly what I wanted from one of these bikes. ABS model, what I believe to be "Twilight Blue", with some basic mods from the previous 1 owner. Had 11500 miles on it, thought it was high but I didn't mind. Bought it off a gentlemen in the USAF looking to get a bigger bike, seems typical.
Mods as bought:
Been unable to identify any others but he did take some of the decals off which I agree with, hasn't been dropped to my knowledge.
On the car side, I wrench and like reading the more technical aspects of what people do to their projects. Im used to doing suspension work and the likes, so this is a departure to what I'm familiar with. 1500 miles after I started riding it, the clutch started slipping enough to concern me so I went ahead and swapped all of the disks and springs to the Barnett stuff. Figured that a new rider on an more used clutch don't mix well, so I wasn't too surprised. Don't really plan on doing anything else to the bike, maybe a taller windscreen or sliders as ive been taking it to the twisties and practicing my low speed maneuvering. Appreciate the community here and look forward to participating and learning more.
Pic for attention.
