I don't do resolutions but I am willing myself to get more seat time this year.
I do need to make a minor adjustment to the shift lever and front brake lever for a bit more comfort.

The new suspension is amazing and feels so much better than what was on the bike previously. 😊

This might be a silly question, and an older reply at that... I've seen a handful of people rocking the Nelson Rigg tail bags. I have one too. How do you get the straps looking so clean? I feel there's just so much extra length to the straps and I'm hesitant to cut them so I have them all knotted off to the side. Tips?

I pull the straps as tight as I can with the seat and bag upside down, then shoot short sheet metal screws through the doubled straps into the plastic bottom of the seat. Wire tie excess straps underneath. Oh, I also reinforced the bottom of the bag with a 1/8" piece of stiff material to keep the bag from wrapping down over the seat.

I undid the fastener from two of the straps and made the remaining straps have a fastener on each end of the strap. I then cinch them off under the seat. I can reverse this if I want to. Essentially, I made two straps with a male fastener at each end.

I see, so you're hiding the mess under the seat. I was having a hard time tucking the loose straps under the seat without it blocking the latches. Might have to give that a go. The knots arent too horrible but I'd like a more grown up look.

Thanks for noticing that last pic.

There's something about that pic which speaks to me. It captures her personality. The Old Girl has always inspired my confidence, and there's a feeling of that. The pic makes her seem alive and ready to ride despite being turned off and sitting on her side stand. Funny thing to say about a supposedly inanimate object.

My conceit in this regard is that a bike really is only alive when being ridden. That's when bike and rider become one. Without a rider, the bike is mere potential.

The first pic is kinda a photography experiment. I've done close ups of the bike and I've done landscapes. But the idea here is to place the bike in the landscape. I'm showing her in her element.

I've taken so many straightforward pics, maybe adding some angles and experiments will liven things up. I'm getting tired of my vacation pics all being the same shot, different mountain.

The framing with the tree in bloom is pretty nice. That pic is growing on me for sure.

This Ninja 500 is my first motorcycle and I'm really enjoying working on it. Created a nice little workshop in my garage. It's my new favorite spot to be. Showing a few photos of my exhaust install. I painted the headers and link pipe with VHT Flame Proof. Deleted the rear pegs and installed a knockoff Leo Vince slip-on. Also installed a steering damper.

Id made space next to the car in case I needed a ride other than my work big rig truck but alas pulling her out yesterday I had little to no Front brake. 🤦🏻

Yeah I never got to switch out the fuel line I was using for the front reservoir to the master cylinder because I did t expect to break my clutch on the car. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Sooo I'll be pulling out the car again with a friends help so I can have the 4RR as backup transportation until the car is fixed.

Once the car is fixed all attention will be back on Elektra.

I was so looking forward to riding it this week as cooler temps are here for a short couple of days. 🫤
