EVAP canister removal

Yes I did that at a later stage, and yes I used the same value (680 ohms) resistor. I commented when you were having flat battery issues that 22 ohms would be too low a resistance and was probably giving the ECU I/O (input/output) logic a hard time -causing a 'lock' or 'race state' condition

Nice, so the same 680 ohm 1/2 watt resistor works on the AIS as well as the evap system without pulling down the battery??

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had this issue. I've tried two different types of resistor now with no luck so I've just gone back to ignoring the light which is going to be on anyways because of the gearing change.
Man bikes are getting complicated these days. Doesn't encourage modding!

Thank you to both of you, I bought the resistors, and I saw Kiwi had an issue and now another so yeah, sorry you guys were the guinea pigs, but I am holding out until there is a better solution.

I am also wondering this question?

Mine does not have one.
Odd thing is, I swear when I got it, I looked and it was there, because I thought about relocating the volt regulator there, since the spears bracket does the same thing, relocates it where the EVAP canister is...

But when I looked about a month ago, it was not there.......I swear it had it before.......

I do not drink anymore and I do not do drugs.........so I am not sure if I dreamed it or what?!?!

Remember its a box not a can, specifically its a rectangular box not a cylinder and is black with a black band around it so easy to miss if you're peeking thru the fairing and don't have good light...

Right its a box with a metal bracket, I am familiar with it, and swear mine had it, it does not. I currently have the fairings off the bike and its not there

The thing that has me baffled is I swear I saw it on mine and its not there now.......lol oh well, guess I never had it, maybe I saw it on one of my other bikes or something?
Not sure now, anyway, no longer a problem for me :)
