Not my next bike, just another bike I picked up last weekend, I would like to hope my next is something like the ZX4R or a 96' RVF400R or a Ducati V4R......or if we are dreaming the Ducati Supermono
2017 Ninja 300 Winter Test Edition, but never mind the test edition graphics and paint scheme because since it was laid down both sides of the main fairing section took a hit and cracked so 100% track bike is the plan.........so long as once I fire it up she runs good and sounds good(no rocks in a tin can sounds)

Your definition of "messy" is what my shop looks like after I have cleaned it up!
I would bet the 300 is good to go, engine wise. I would be more tempted to make the 300 my street machine, and the 400 the track only bike. You don't need much power on the street compared to the track.
You already have lots of great track parts for the 400. Throw a set of plastics on the 300 and go track only with the 400! Just stirring it up @b0Xcrash!

Dang it, just gotta throw a wrench in the works. Lol
