Maybe your foot gear change lever is in the wrong position. Might pay to see if it helps moving it slightly higher or lower. It's a quick change, and can make a huge difference to smooth changes.

I've held onto the same one for the past 30 years (46 now, together since we were both 16) and it's taught me that the LAST thing I need in my life is more of em! LOL...

Crikey mate I think that 'Younglion' moniker may be somewhat optimistic! Mrs Pwalo and I had our ruby anniversary last weekend. We met in our first year in University. Scary how time passes!

Hmm, you can almost smell the goodness. Sort of like hot asphalt on a summer's morning.

I've only been on slicks once. On my brothers YammaGamma 350 (blue printed Yamaha RZ350 engine in a Suzuki RG250 frame) back in the 70s. They weren't warm, and I've never felt so discombobulated on two wheels. Too young and stupid to understand you needed to put some serious heat in before they actually worked. Of course my brother thought it was a huge joke!

At the moment I'm working from home because of our government's COVID restrictions. Gives me an excuse to head out in non commuter time, so there's always a (small) upside!

Compulsory helmets in the Land Down Under the Land Down Under. I remember when full face helmets were a 'new thing', and I'm not sure that I'd like to go back to an open face helmet, let alone no helmet.

Oil change, clean the chain, clean and polish the wheel rims. Checked the tyre pressures. Ahh maybe the lack of pressure in the front tyre was giving me that slightly queasy feeling!

Cleaned the bike after commuting in the rain. Looks like I'll be doing the same again this afternoon. Oh joy.

Rode in to work this morning. Temperature was 2C. I need some heated grips.

No I don't think running would be an option! How do you get on for kneeling and generally crawling around under the bike? My Dad's had one of his knees replaced, and I understand movement is ok forwards and backwards, but comprised otherwise. Still a lot better than a damaged knee!

Oil and filter change. Checked tyre pressures, cleaned and lubed the chain. Cleaned the brake discs, and even got out for a quick ride in a fine patch. Then I took the dog for a walk.

Luxury I say. I only have a car port by the side of our house, and a small shed for tools etc. So saying it is very sheltered, and we don't get snow! Just the usual weekly maintenance for my 400. Clean and relube chain. Clean everything else. Take the dog for a walk.

Brrrrr. Working at home today. Sitting in the morning sun, basking in 20C. The wee doggie is asleep at my feet, and all is well in the world. I'll pop out later for a quick ride around the back roads, fill up with gas, and put another layer of nano tech coating the N400.
