Hey guys,

I recently bought a new n400 '23 and the parts salesman told me that kawasaki changed the n400's frame from the 22' model to 23'.

He claimed that the '18-'22 frame sliders wouldn't be compatible with the '23 model.

Is that true?

Thanks
The Ninja 400 and Z400 are exactly the same from '18 - '23 except a few clutch parts after '19.

Wonder if they mean the VIN stamped into the "frame" is different from previous years?.......heck it should be different from other bikes as well within the same year. :p:ROFLMAO:

Pretty sure they were trying to upsell you a set of sliders bought only through them

Also speaking about conversations with the dealer, I was at my local dealership the other day picking up some parts I ordered for another bike and they had a 23' KRT sitting there and I told the sales guy who has worked there for a long time "Outside the colors in the theme changed up a little bit each year, the clutch pull rod and some other wiring changes they really have not changed anything about these 400's have they?" He said "Nope, pretty much the exact same bike since 2018"

Yeah just a few wiring changes, thats it. Probably just a dumbass salesman that doesn't know any better. Ask a tech, not a salesman lol.

The P/N for the frame has changed slightly a number of times since 2018...

I doubt anything significant, but it is curious...

Or maybe it's just documentation errors?

I bought a '18-'20 LV-10 slip on for my '21 and the hanger tab is too far back by about 2". Same LV part number for both '18-'20 and '21 on. I made a bracket for it and all is good. Seems some frame changes have been made.
Yeah I had the same issue with my Leo Vince slip-on, the GP corsa, on my 2018 400.
Also same issue with a slip-on with my 17 Ninja 300..
