Hi everyone.

New member from Montreal Canada

I just purchased a ninja 400 KRT non abs yesterday. So far I have put 150 painful break in km’s ( 4000 rpm for 800km wtf:surprise:)

I’m not new to motorcycling been riding for over 35 years, down graded from a 2005 CBR 1000RR to get the Kawasaki.

In the province I live in they charge 1400 dollars to register a scary bike ( all sports bikes 600 and up )

So the 400 made sense it only cost 350 to register

Btw for those interested OTD was 6900 cnd for the KRT non abs that actually has abs, on the rear wheel anyways:smile:

Welcome to the forum, AFAIK the rear wheel speed sensor on your model is for the speedo only, not ABS.

The 4K max rpm guide is for the first 500km not 8000. No this is not a cue for more hard break in vs soft break in debate!

Hi Kiwi Rider,

Not to argue but the owners manual I have states.
0-800km (0-500 mile) 4000 r/min
800-1600km (500-1000 mile) 6000 r/min

Thanks for the abs rear wheel info, my cbr used rpm/gear to display speed.

Yes the owner manual does state that but you first stated 4k rpm for 8000 km, 8k km is incorrect my friend haha

Welcome to the forum! I've always wanted to visit Montreal and now that I live in New York, I may take ride up for the weekend.
