500 miles under 4000 rpm is difficult. Had a great time riding the bike without leaving town or staying under 4000 rpm. My last bike was a cbr600 rr (34000 mi. ). I do not miss it . I had to break -it -in in FL. Going to N. C. soon.
The 400 is great so far. I am over sixty so wfo is not as important as smooth on twisty roads. I always find it tough to improve on stock equipment but I will read the forum.

I am over sixty

Yet another over 60... I'm starting to think age shows reason.. and this little beauty of a bike is reason enough to have one... Mine is so new to me the ink is not fully dry yet on the documents.. got a whopping 50 miles..all with a grin.... safe travels!

I'm just going to keep it under 6000 rpm for the first bit and 8000 for the second part of the breakin, because I simply can't go on the highway at 90kph unless im running around 5.5krpm on the highway. But as Ryan from Fortnine says, dont keep it at any rev, just vary it a lot.
