What’s up peeps, thought I would post up my 2023 Track and Race season events.
Already got the season opener in at Tbolt on 4/23. The weather was very good, pretty much full sunshine ☀ the entire day and a high of 70. It was a little damp from heavy rain Saturday nite. But dried up quickly!

2nd session of the day, 2nd lap, in the long left hand turn, this moron hits the inside of my left rear tire and WE both go sliding off the track. 😡😡😡😱😱😱. I was so glad I didn’t get run over by any of the bikes behind me. WE both slide across the entire track to the other side. Immediate RED FLAG 🚩, CRASH TRUCK ride back to the pits.
Happy to report, just cosmetic damage to the left side of the bike. Left bar end was ground down, as well as the engine case guard, shifter and foot peg. My face shield has rash as well. My left leg and right shoulder were a little sore, I sat out 1 session after re-teching the bike, and rode the rest of the day!!! Not a good way to start the season, BUT, I did enjoy the rest of the day.

I was having clutch issues with 400 since early last July and was only able to ride it a total of 3 sessions after July. Happy to report no more issues with the clutch. I changed the clutch pull rod and bearing and some plates over the winter and that FIXED the issue.
I brought my 750 as well just in case……..she sat in the pits the whole day!!! Felt soooooo good too ride the 400 on the track again 😁😁😁

Next up is NYST 5/6 or 5/7!!!!!

I bet he had a blast too. 🥰
Ahhh the youth of a young man, able to learn so fast, and make Dad look like a newb. 😂🤷🏼‍♂️😁😉
He sure did, I had to work hard to stay near him on the 400 😱😱😱. His pace was amazing for his 3rd track day. I remember when my BP was that good, it’s hard working with this old beat up body 🤪🤪🤪. The 2 newbies that we are bringing tomorrow are pumped!!! The weather will be perfecT, looking forward to it!!!!

WE ALL had an absolute blast on Saturday, the track was packed, I haven’t seen that many people at NYST in years. The weather brought EVERYBODY out! Didn’t run into traffic on the track, the intermediate group flowed very well. Only 1 RED FLAG 🚩in the intermediate group which was surprising. The 2 rookies throughly enjoyed themselves, they said they learned allot and will be back for MORE! Unfortunately the guy on the 300 crashed in the last session of the day near the end of the session. Just pushed a little too hard for his skill level in a left turn and visited the dirt. Dislocated middle finger and broken left clavicle in the shoulder. He is still super pumped and can’t wait to hit the track again. The guy with the 750 was moving very good and I know he learned allot. I rode my 750 for the 1st time on the track this season and the POWER of that thang is incredible……….. oh the damage on the 300 was on the left side, mostly cosmetic. Slightly bent left handle bar, bent shifter, rashed left fairing and broken rear left fairing. The 300 rider ordered all new plastics, clip ons, and rear sets!!! He is HOOKED!!!

Rider fatigue or over indulgence in going beyond his means or both.

I'm pumped to know they're pumped and good to know even after the injuries he will be back at a less stressed pace and get back in the swing of things. 👍

WE reminded BOTH rookies several times, for the last session of the day, back down the pace and just work on BP. Combination of both, fatigue and pushing too hard. I dropped the 300 off yesterday after changing the rear sprocket to sexy blue and putting a slip on. The 300 rider is in a sling for the shoulder BUT super pumped to get back on TRACK!!! He ordered a bunch of new parts, new plastics, clip ons, rear sets, steel braided brake lines, racing rear cowl etc. The 300 is rideable just the shifter is mangled. The 750 rider will let me know when he is ready for his next track day.
