When I was at the dealer yesterday, they had a Ninja 400 in Blue non-ABS model. I glanced at the rear brake/wheel and noticed a grooved ring similar to the ones on the ABS models. Do the non-ABS models actually have ABS on the rear? I'm not sure if having rear ABS would be that helpful anyway. Just curious since I did not ask anyone at the dealer to confirm and it slipped my mind before I left.

I'd say they have the same brake ring but not the extra Nissin ABS module that sits next to the brake pads
Thanks. Makes sense. If it's still at the dealer next time I go, I'll take another look and may ask them about it.

That's something I never really noticed. I wonder if there is still a sensor attached as well because it could be there for the speedometer reading.

rear ring is used for spedo pickup on non abs and on abs it serves both functions.
I was hoping to hear that. Gearing changes wont change Speedo readings.
