buy fix position ones !!

 

holding a OEM left rear set in my hand, I don't understand how you can be having this problem unless the spring that forces the peg down is NOT there?

 

It's not specifically a problem, they aren't loose like they are flapping around, I still need to exert force to move them, but I find moving my foot backwards onto the peg makes it move upwards. I'm just wondering if there is a way to tighten the OEM ones of there so they are a lot harder to move. If not I can look into fixed position pegs like you mentioned

 

Buy aftermarket rear sets. Most have fixed pegs, and give you the ability to adjust the position of it and the shift lever relative to each other.

 

I don't have the footpegs in front of me right now, but you might be able to tighten the OEM footegs by inserting a washer onto the pivot pin, between the footpeg and the mount, to add some resistance. Washer come in different thicknesses if you can get to a place that seels exclusively nuts, bolts, and other specialty metal pieces.

You'll get used to the stock pegs.
Don't mess with trying to wedge them into position. They'll invariably get pushed back and stuck instead of springing back into position.
