Hi All,

I’ve had my 400 for two days now and am super pumped about my decision. I may have been the first person to buy in in Alaska but who knows. Got the black version and couldn’t be happier. The bike looks great and is so easy to ride and confidence inspiring. Only about 25 miles on the clock so far but if the weather cooperates I plan to increase that very quickly. So excited to be riding and to be part of this awesome forum, Cheers!

Welcome, good to have you here!
Alaska eh, heck that must be a short riding season. I thought New Zealand was bad :D
Enjoy your new black beauty.
Welcome

Kawasavage, welcome to the forum. You will have to advise us of all the elements you are challenged with in AK. I have family that went there for a year or so and have heard a little feedback. Best wishes for your enjoyment and safety this riding season.

Hey thanks! Yes the riding season is rather short, but did begin 2-3 weeks earlier than usual. Fingers crossed for a long hot (relatively speaking) summer.

Hey rde09,

There are definitely a few quirks that I am finding about riding in Alaska. The roads are generally harder to maintain, trying to not hit moose (instead of deer) is always interesting, there is gravel everywhere this time of year, the weather can be less than pleasant (although we have had great weather this spring)... I suppose I those are the main ones. I am sure o will find more as I ride more. ?

Haha, thanks man. Those are some serious tires! Winter riding would be a whole new adventure for sure. I think I will get a little better at riding in the summer before I swan dive into that...
