I see that there is at least one other Kiwi who has posted here. I have been riding for 45 years, and I currently own a 2013 Ninja 300 SE after downsizing from a larger sport bike. I live in NZ's capital city, Wellington and have just put my order in for the 400 SE (has to be in green and black of course!).

My little Ninja has been absolutely reliable over the last five years, and I'm really looking forward to the new 400.

Welcome Pwalo to the forum. Good to see you have had great success with the 300 ninja.
From viewing the posts on this site, many members are waiting for an opportunity to sit on/ride/purchase a 400. I am looking forward to the 400's hitting the showrooms locally.

Howdy fellow country man!
There's actually two Kiwis on here, there's another Wellingtonian, username @Hayderade whom I met through the CBR300 forum.
Did your dealer give you any indication of delivery due date? My guy reckons late this month but I'm expecting it to be later as the guys in the US don't seem to be getting their bikes yet.
I ordered a black one.
Motorad in Wellington reckon 4-5 weeks, but hopefully early February. That would be great as it would be a rather nice birthday present.

Welcome to the forum! From the expected arrival dates both of you provided, I assume most deliveries will take place early February.
You guys must have some amazing roads to ride on in NZ.
EICMA and some other upcoming show might be where we get some more insight on when it will come to market with the way I look at it. Even if its not a big announcement odds are we will hear from Kawi reps that show up to the event.

EICMA is always in November in Milan, Italy. Most of the major bike shows are at the end of the year show casing the next years coming models.

We certainly have some stunning roads. I reckon that the South Island probably has some of the best riding of anywhere.

I am hoping that early February is correct. Mrs Pwalo and I are off to Washington DC over Easter, and I'd like to have run in the new bike by then.

Easter is earlyish this year so I'm thinking the weather will still be pretty good and are looking at doing a lap of the South Island catching up with far flung friends acquired over the years and obviously first big run on the new bike. Looking forward to it. Whats happening in DC for you guys?

Mrs P is talking at a conference. Means I will get a couple of days on my own to visit a few museums haha. Just a short visit. I haven't been to the States yet so apart from the long flight I'm looking forward to it.
