Hi everyone,

So I picked up my new Ninja 400 yesterday and on the ride home, at one point I shifted down from 4th to 3rd, but it didn't properly go into gear and so it grinded for about a second before I could get it properly into gear. I know it's probably my fault for not pressing firmly enough on the gear shift but it was my first ride on it

I did do this on my car a few times when it was new, and someone told me that it was just because it was a new gearbox and they sometimes do that as they've not been worn in yet, so I didn't worry about it too much.

But the thing is after it happened I'm sure I could hear a different noise coming from the bike, not quite a grinding but almost a flutter (I don't really know how to describe it).

Now it's entirely possible I'm overthinking it and just noticing a noise that was always there, bit I don't know if it's something I should get checked out.

Any thoughts?
Thanks :)
