Are you practical and own just what is needed (track + daily + ADV/dirt + anything else you do), the bare minimum (one for all), the collector (get all the helmets!), other?

I currently have two budget helmets AGV K1 + K3 (Cardo on this). They were purchased within the last three years and I use them interchangeably. The K1 is the only one I use at the track though. Ever since I saw the RF1400 in matte blue, around two years ago, I always wanted one. I think the color is gorgeous and probably my favorite helmet at the moment. But the practical side of me doesn't want three helmets to choose from.

FYI - a Shoei rep told me that the new RF and the X is coming out around May of this year. Will be about a $100 premium. IIRC, some things from the X and maybe the spoiler will trickle down from the X to the RF as well.

I keep my current helmet and my most recent outdated helmet as a spare. New hat is a HJC i100 with Cardo Sena 50s intercom: i100 SOLID - HJC HELMETS AMERICA Product Old hat is an LS2 Strobe: Strobe | LS2 USA
both solid! How do you like the modulars?
I also have 4 other helmets scattered for emergencies. One at the office, my other budget helmet that is about 4 years old sitting at home that I'll never use but maybe use for experiments, ancient inexpensive one at my parents place, and another ancient inexpensive one at my friends place lol.

Modulars are so easy when touring. Don't have to take the helmet off to have a drink or a bite. I also like the internal sun visor because it's just a lever pull at dawn, sunset or a tunnel. And I can put on or remove a modular without taking my glasses off.

I'd call myself bare minimum. My HJC Rpha 11 just broke 5 years from date of manufacture. I tried on a bunch of helmets locally and the two best fits were the Rpha 1N and and Shoei X14. I'm planning to go with the Rpha 1 for next season. I'll keep the Rpha 11 as a commuter backup.
Can't go wrong with either. I'm usually a sucker for the spoiler, so the x14 is kind of alluring. If only they had the matte blue. I did see some on China websites for $100, but they're probably made of cardboard.

Very true. That's why I got the K3-SV, the sunvisor can come in handy. Especially if you ride during sunset+rise. I have a 3/4 face at the office but my chin feels too exposed. It is nice when I want to enjoy the scenery though.

Helmets are spendy if you want anything good for the track/street, so no, I buy what I need when I need it. I have a sumo/dirt helmet (O'neal) and a Raodrace helmet (HJC RPHA 11 Pro). The HJC is my favorite helmet I've had, I've tried several others, but for my head shape, FOV, and purpose it's the best one for me personally.

Have you seen Michael Neeves (MCN) wall of helmets on his YT channel?
i tried watching a few vids but didnt see it.
Everyone has seen my helmets but this thread gives me a chance to show them again. The AGV Rossi is really old, it sits on our living room book shelf however I wore it on a ride last week. Past it around to show it off. The Suomy is brand new with a drop down visor. The Arai is my number one.
Always nice to show off your collection! I've been thinking about wrapping my helmet, but I heard it's extremely difficult, so I'll just stick with my 2 matte black helmets for now.

Solid logic. The K1 and K3 I have were only about $175 each. Not the best and not the worst. Now that I have a bit more discretionary funds, I will invest in a higher tier helmet next time around. I've actually heard a few people raving about that HJC, what in particular do you like about it, aside from the FOV + fitment?

I'll tell you what, once you find a helmet that barely is noticeably damaged after a highside, and lasts multiple crashes (I know, I always have to put this disclaimer to not use a helmet thats hit the ground, geez), plus has part for fixing damage, you realize why a higher quality helmet is worth it.

I had a ICON Airflite that looked cool, and was race legal, but one major crash and it was completely toast. No concussion and protected my head like it was supposed to, but it now hangs on my wall. My fist HJC RPHA 11 Pro I still used on the street, and lasted like 3 where it touched the ground, one was a major highside, the other was my worst crash ever where I went to the hospital for broken ribs and collapsed/punctured lung. No concussion, head was just fine in all the crashes. Even now unless you're holding the helmet you can't really see the damage, all I had to do was replace the visor and one visor mount.

I'm probably part of the club if/when I get into an accident that has a decent impact on the head, I'll swap out.

Nice! I presume you checked the interior of the shell as well? How would you rate the impact on the helmets on the accidents?

While I've never suffered from excessive helmet ownership, but if I were to indulge this would be my first addition.
ICON Airflite Battlescar 2 Helmet

My influences are a love of Sci fi and I play Fortnite. :alien:
Haha looks more like something out of Halo if you ask me. 😂😁

I have an Icon as a spare and for the money they're not bad at all.
I like the version pictured as it does carry that futuresque look to it. 👍

That helmet is more popular than I thought and my riding buddy thinks it's a pretty bitchin helmet too. Most reviews on that one were positive!

While I'm a Fortnite player I do have the Halo Master Chief skin to use in the game.(y)

I've never seen that Icon helmet in the wild, but it's awesome.
Haha great to see another Halo player and recognizes a great game. 😍
Master Chief will scare all the try hards playing FortNite. 😂
That's a game I'll never play though. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Sorry for the off tangent but someone mentioned Master Chief and Ingot all giddy. 🤣👍
