I removed those and the abs ones on the fender. I agree, much cleaner look.
I removed those and the abs ones on the fender. I agree, much cleaner look.I have the black Ninja 400 and took the two rear 400 decals off. I never liked many decals it just looks cleaner to me. Anyway, its funny how everytime I made a stop someone asked if it was the new 600 lol.
Mine came off easy without heat but a hair dryer will help. Used lighter fluid to get the left overs off and cleaned and waxed it.Can you use a high dryer or heat gun or do the decals come off easily without any heat?
Thanks for the info!Mine came off easy without heat but a hair dryer will help. Used lighter fluid to get the left overs off and cleaned and waxed it.
Do you have any pictures of the bike with decals fully removed? I've been contemplating doing the same thing. The grey/black/orange color scheme was the first unit the local Kawi dealer got in, so that's what I bought.
Was immediately unenthused about all the decals (too many distracting line and colors)... so just finished removing everything except the tank Ninja (which is under a clear coat) and the rim tapes (which are probably next to get axed).
Now the bike's body line are what attracts your eye...not the carnival ride stickies.
If course, only my opinion/tastes...to each their own.
Granted I'm months away from buying but when I saw the grey-black on the dealer showroom my first thought was those decals just give the bike a "busy" look. If you have the time I would like to see your final end result once you remove the rim tapes. As for your taste, I think your on to something good. :clap:The grey/black/orange color scheme was the first unit the local Kawi dealer got in, so that's what I bought.

I came across this so decided to share. I have this bike and removed some decals also. Very similar but I left the bottom decals. Agree that the stock decals were too much. Happy with it but wondering if I should remove all of them down the road. They came off easily just need to remove them slowly. You probably already saw the graphic AZFox posted of a bike with most of the decals removed. If I had chosen to leave any decals on, it would have been the ones he left on also.
Come on, You ain't gata lie to Skippy - you just dont want people to know its a 400, Nothin' to be ashamed of. Iv'e had tons of people ask if my ninja 250 is a 600...I have the black Ninja 400 and took the two rear 400 decals off. I never liked many decals it just looks cleaner to me. Anyway, its funny how everytime I made a stop someone asked if it was the new 600 lol.

Your helmet is a dark grey type of color which will not help your visibility. Do you ride with your headlights on?... Ideology being it makes the bike visible during night. I am a bit worried about bike visibility in USA (paranoia I say) and hence the idea.
overthinking much?
I love my decals lol
