So yeah, about 100 meters from my house at a 4 way intersection. Came out of my street stopping letting a bus and a station car type pass by, and followed them. Drove slow as mf so the idiot in me thought because it was a good idea to pass at the intersection from the opposite lane as I know the bus continue to go foward and the guy at the stationwag didn't turn a blinker. Changed lanes, gave some throttle and boom, my efforts to stop was in vain. The bike didn't drop as we both stopped eventually and I was with full gear so no real damage.

His car dont worth much so he didn't care about insurance. I don't have a full cover on the bike (Because I live in a country where the price of bikes is 2-2.5 times the price of MSRP in the states, so everything else follows) so I up am for quite the damage in the pocket.

From what I see, the green fairing is to replace. But beside that as you can in the 4th pic is looks like the clamp of the headlight connector has been ripped apart and there's no replace for that besides buying a new headlight as whole assembly. The headlight itself now is working and steady and besides a minor crack at the headlight itself seems okay. But the question is if I can put on the green fairing cover and it would look as new?

This sucks, glad you’re ok. I guess just take the fairing off to see what can be repaired and what has to be replaced. What country are you in?

****. At least you're ok! Hopefully all you'll need are some replacement fairing pieces. Might be an idea to get the bike checked to make sure there's no chassis damage, and your forks aren't twisted.

I went over the bike, the only substaintial damage seems to be is that pin of the headlight connector which comes fixed as part of the headlight assembly which cannot be replaced, which inserts into a fixed place (For example, the side fairings has 6 of these each side) which comes out as a root from the chasis, and that same root got bent (picture #4). I can probably hammer that root and straighten it but it wont really do something as the pin itself got ripped and the only replacement is to buy a new headlight, lol.

Besides that forks seem to be fine. That was my main concern. But I continued to ride for work and then on the way over checked for sway at the steering with no hands on the handlebars. Seems to be okay, if there is any damage is minimal and not noticable for the rider. And I know that bike for 5 years

Glad you are OK. While it may be expensive to repair your bike it is still better than suffering through any injury..... and having to fix your bike too.

You have the same problem we have her in VN with prices and insurance. I cannot insure my bikes, no matter what I am prepared to pay...
