Greeting from the great white North.

Any more of you out there, like myself, waiting for snow to melt and just weather in general to improve?

I'm from Eastern Canada, 33 and Riding since about 17. The 400 is technically for my wife but I'll be enjoying it too.
She's got about 9 years of riding in on a couple of 500s (VF500 and GS500) and primarily on her 250R which is currently up for sale to make room for the 400.
I've owned a pretty wide range of bikes over the years (CB750 Nighthawk, 600 Bandit, 954RR, etc) but for the last few years it's been a lot of Kawasakis.

Currently a 2011 KLX250S and 2006 ZX-10R which I recently picked up after totally demolishing the engine in my first long term Kawi, a ZX-12R.

Been fairly active on different Motorcycle forums over the years but social media seems to have killed the good ones. I'll take this over Facebook any day...

Greetings and welcome RedRider2k2 to the forum. We had a 14" snow yesterday and I am really looking forward to the warmer weather that I hope is not too far in the distant future.
Welcome to the forum. You would be surprised how many new members have come on here and said they 'bought the bike for the wife...' I'm wondering if it's some sort of code for something.
Hey what happened to the motor on the ZX-10, nothing to do with your home maintenance I hope?

Guessing that's the same system that just dumped snow on us.

Technically it's her bike but I'll have my fun with it too just like I did with her 250R. While I was performing surgery on that ZX-12R I was left without a bike for an annual group ride. I decided to take her 250...Now, in my "For sale" ad for it, I've added "OWN THE 250R THAT PASSED A GSX-R1000 ON THE FALL GROUP RIDE!" :D

As for the motor, it was the ZX-12R that had finally had enough. It was well maintained but never babied for about 62,000KMs. Rod bearing #3 spun, the connecting rod exploded and punched 2 holes in the case at about 230Km/H. Everything else inside the engine looked spotless but I guess it's weakest link finally showed itself.

<--- It's actually the bike in my Avatar.

A 12 can be a bit of a handful on a tight track lol
