Black or White?

Why can't the Z come in blue too?

I like the N in the 2023 blue scheme. But only the Z styling appeals to me.

The dealer that "deals" here only gets White Zs but I want black.

Which do you prefer?

Would or should the color be a deal breaker for you too?

I’d buy a Z400 in any color, they are great machines. Will add that in 2019 My Z400 was $5035.00 out the door, they only had black and green.

Yes. It might not make any sense to buy or not buy based on color, but it is reality for me. I bought my Z because it was white. If it had been black, I would have bought something else. Buy the one you like, otherwise you will always be thinking, "If it was just red/white/blue/black, it would would be perfect."

They only had a red available and BAM it was my moment to buy. 😂

We think alike--I consider my Ninja to be a film noir femme fatale in a classic little black dress.

Thanks guys. A little perspective always helps. I started this thread yesterday after a visit to the dealer to see their one Z400(in white) and it was sold. They had a white N400 and two Z650s in black.
Even if I could re-tape a white Z to replace the red accents with Kawasaki green. My only previous Kawasaki was a green KDX175, so I'm probably biased.

When my white one was at the dealer's I didn't like the grey trim. I changed it to blue and added a stripe of blue on the tail. It seems to be a good thing that we don't all like the same thing. My point is, it is fairly easy to make changes.

Reminds me of the old Honda Interceptor. A guy who lived in my apartment building in college had a VF500 in the red white and blue.

OK, I might admit to having owned one. The picture you posted is an '85. Mine was an '86 with '85 wheels. It may have had a worse seat than the Z400.

I called today. The dealer of choice NOW has both black and white Zs at this moment and I've decided either color do. Having been married 48 years I know better than to buy a vehicle while my wife is out of town. She'll be back Tuesday.

I might even ask HER which color she would prefer. That could make points, right?

At this point all I could do was leave an email that I will go by tomorrow with $$.
I have to admit my first choice was my first choice. I told them to hold the BLACK one.
If I miss it white is alright.

So this crop of Z400s must be fresh off the boat. Mine might be ready tomorrow but for sure Thursday. Tomorrow(only) was supposed to be rain. Now it's Wednesday and Thursday. I'm not too keen on riding home in the rain, + cold, + crossing a 5,000ft mountain, on brand new tires (and bike). I'm thinking wait for some sun, maybe Friday. What would you do?

Plan B = trailer it home, but that seems so wrong and a nuisance.

I'll try to post a picture of our crappy weather either way for proof. Especially if it snows. It's snowed 4 times this winter which I believe is a new record here.
